About Me
I became interested in training as a counsellor having previously worked as an early years practitioner in my local village pre-school. I attended a certificate course in counselling skills and, having learned how effective counselling can be, I decided to continue with my training.
I have gained the following qualifications:
Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling from Wealden Psychology Institute (BACP Accredited).
BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy (First Class): Anglia Ruskin University.
Person-Centred Art Therapy Certificate (PCATS).
Level 5 Diploma in Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy: Crossfields Institute - The LEAP Method.
I am currently studying for a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice: Counselling & Psychotherapy at the Minster Centre, London.
I have been counselling clients since 2012 and have helped many adults, young people and children who have been experiencing a range of difficulties. I have worked with children and young people with Place2Be ,YMCA Dialogue and Fegans. I have also been a counsellor for adults with Cruse Bereavement and Sussex Community Counselling Service.
I am now in full-time private practice, offering counselling and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy for adults and young people from my home in Rotherfield.
My development and learning as a therapist is ongoing. I am committed to attending continuing professional development, regular supervision and my own personal therapy to ensure I am providing a professional and ethical service to my clients.
